GUIDANCE and SUPPLEMENT Diversity in Clinical Trials
The University of Washington must comply with a new Washington State law (RCW 69.78) which aims to improve participation in clinical trials from underrepresented communities. HSD drafted guidance and a supplement outlining the UW policies and procedures for complying with the State law. These materials were posted here during an open comment period from August 16 to September 16th. The comment period is now closed while we incorporate the feedback we received.
A virtual town hall was held on September 4, 2024 where HSD provided a 30 minute overview presentation of the guidance and supplement, followed by a 60 minute Q&A session. A recording of the event is now available along with a complete list of questions and answers from the meeting.
