administrative closure

Closure of an IRB-approved study or of an application for any type of HSD determination or UW IRB approval that is initiated by HSD (not the researcher or the IRB). May occur because of lapsed IRB approval or researcher lack of response to requests for clarification, IRB review, or conditions of approval. See: SOP Administrative Actions for HSD staff procedures.
