Manage Study Access

Print Print

Overview

Zipline permissions are managed on a study-by-study basis. When you login to Zipline, you only see studies where you have been granted access based on your role in the study. Different roles come with different levels of permissions.

Your permissions in Zipline:

  • Can vary depending on the study (i.e. principal investigator for your research, faculty advisor for a student’s project)
  • Determine the tasks that you can perform on each study
  • Must be updated by someone with edit permissions for the study and in some cases requires the PI or PI proxy to take action

Department Access Departments are not automatically notified when new human subjects applications are submitted and they do not automatically get access to the department’s portfolio of studies. Department administrators can email hsdinfo@uw.edu to request read-only access for studies in their department. Requests must come from the overall department administrator or department-wide manager. Contact hsdinfo@uw.edu for more information
