Financial Conflicts of Interest & Other Support Training

This training fulfills the:

Who is required to take this training?

Investigators participating in, or applying for, any U.S. Public Health Service (PHS) or U.S. Department of Energy (DoE) sponsored funding must complete this training prior to the expenditure of funds on any newly-funded awards. All UW personnel participating in research are encouraged to complete this training module (UW NetID is required to login).

When other support disclosure training is required by the sponsor (such as NIH and for NIH pass-through) training should be completed by all senior/key personnel

  • before an award or noncompeting continuation funding is made to the University, and
  • before a Research Performance Progress Report (RPPR) is submitted.

OSP verifies training completion by senior/key personnel at the time an award or non-competing continuation funding is made to the University. However, we recommend this training is completed well before an award is made, to avoid delays, such as by the just-in-time phase.

This training is tracked and visible in MyResearch Training Transcript.
