Lab-Managed Sick Rodent Recognition

Who is required to take this training?
Required of all personnel providing primary care for rodents in Lab-Managed Facilities, including the PI or a professional staff lab manager.
Summary of the requirement
The PHS Policy as implemented by the Office of Laboratory Animal Welfare also requires that the institution is responsible for the training of its staff. Among other things, training must ensure that individuals who use or provide care for animals are trained and qualified to do so.
