This classroom training course addresses common laboratory hazards, provides guidance on risk assessment, and reviews best practices in the laboratory for routine practices. The course provides access to tools and documents to support the laboratory in maintaining a safe workplace.

Principal investigators (PIs), laboratory chemical hygiene officers, and other laboratory supervisors in research and teaching laboratories
Summary of requirement
A laboratory specific chemical hygiene plan that addresses chemical hazards, risk assessment, safe practices, training, and emergency procedures is required by federal and state regulations.
