This online class meets the US DOT and the International Dangerous Goods regulations for shipping dry ice with non-dangerous goods and Exempt Patient Specimens and provides instructions for packaging, labeling, and shipping papers.
Who is required to take this training?
Faculty, staff, and students who ship non-dangerous goods or Exempt Patient Specimens packed in dry ice, especially for air cargo shipments.
Summary of the requirement
Federal regulations require that all persons who mark, label, package, document or classify hazardous materials for shipment be trained and certified by their employer. They need to complete initial training followed by recurrent training every 2 years.
