Mission
The Center for Disaster Resilient Communities brings together the University of Washington, government, and community partners to create and implement transformational hazard and disaster science, build workforce capacity, inform equitable disaster risk reduction policy and practice and contribute to more resilient communities.

Funding Information
At launch, the Center for Disaster Resilient Communities has notice of award for projects from the CDC, NIH, and NSF, plus a non-discretionary gift and internal pilot funding.
Reporting Structure
The Center Director is overseen by a “liaison committee” of the academic leadership of the Population Health Initiative and the academic leadership of the School of Public Health and its Department of Environmental & Occupational Health Sciences.
