We consult on itinerary planning in order to identify activities and visits that may enrich the program curriculum and make the fullest use of our location and local resources. We assist with budget planning, providing recommendations on vendors and procuring quotes for services. We coordinate, administer and prepay local, regional and national excursions, including admission and reservations to historic sites and museums, accommodations and ground transportation. We also connect faculty with local docents for guest lectures, as well as facilitate service learning, community service, and internship opportunities for students, both within the context of their program or as extracurricular opportunities. Each quarter the UW Rome Center also organizes cultural activities open to the public, including guest lectures and film events, designed to enrich the overall experience of faculty and students.
