Hello Huskies,
I hope that your first month on campus has been filled with great learning, new friends and meaningful experiences — these are all significant aspects of the Husky Experience. Another key part of your Husky Experience is embracing academic integrity as part of your commitment to the values of honesty, trust and responsibility.
Academic integrity is at the heart of what makes us Huskies — it’s not just a set of rules, but an unwavering guiding principle that we carry with us as we journey through our academic pursuits. UW students embrace and practice high standards of academic and professional integrity.
It is important to know and understand the expectations of the University and your instructors regarding academic standards. It is very important that you take these steps:
- Read the syllabus for each course so you understand the particular expectations of each of your instructors.
- If you are unsure of expectations, ask for clarification before you use unspecified resources in completing assignments or exams.
- Review the Student Conduct Code. If you have questions, please contact Community Standards & Student Conduct.
Take an active role in promoting integrity within our community and check out the events (and giveaways and prizes!) this Oct. 21–25 for Academic Integrity Week.
Wishing you a successful autumn quarter!
Denzil

Check out more non-partisan guides, events and lectures, and voter resources.

Navigating the UW
Academic accommodations
Disability Resources for Students (DRS) works with UW students to ensure equal access to UW academic programs and services. Students should engage DRS as soon as possible once they have identified a barrier and/or need. It can take between 1–5 weeks, sometimes longer, to receive and implement accommodations. Accommodations are determined through an interactive process between both student and DRS staff.
