Husky Pawket Guide From the Desk of Dr. Denzil Suite, UW Division of Student Life

Hello Huskies,

I hope you had a wonderful holiday break for Thanksgiving and Native American Heritage Day. As you begin thinking about your finals, I encourage you to check out UW Libraries’ 10 Tips for Success. Use these time-saving resources to help you succeed and stress less during finals! I also recommend you check out Odegaard Library’s extended hours during finals and the winter break schedule for all libraries. Best of luck with your finals and have a restful Winter Break.

Sincerely,

Denzil

Husky Experience

Become a First-year Interest Group (FIG) Leader

Are you ready to meet new people, help others, and offer advice to incoming first-year students? Are you passionate about the UW and looking for a way to make a positive impact? Are you hoping to gain leadership and career-building experience? If so, being a FIG Leader or Virtual Orientation Leader could be a perfect opportunity for you!

Connections

Undergraduate housing applications now open for Winter 2025

Be a part of our UW on-campus community and join fellow undergraduates currently living on campus starting Winter 2025. Agreements are available through mid-August. Whether you choose to live in a residence hall or an apartment-style building, both options provide students with shared kitchens, study rooms, furniture and meal plans.

AI Task Force Town Halls

AI Task Force Town Halls help you learn how AI may show up in your classroom. Please submit comments and questions at any time to townhall@uw.edu. The more voices and input received, the more equitable and ethical our strategies and approaches to AI will be. Registration is open for the next Town Hall, AI for Teaching & Learning, on Dec. 10 from 12–1:20 p.m.

Fun After Finals

During Finals week, HUB Games hosts Fun After Finals. UW students, staff and faculty receive 30% off all gaming activities such as bowling, pool and table tennis.

  • Peer Health Education: Join one of our peer support groups or attend/request an educational workshop led by Peer Health Educators.
