Summer quarter is different from the other quarters in that it is a nine-week quarter with no scheduled final examination week. Many courses are also offered in intense four and one-half week terms referred to as A-term and B-term. A-term courses are offered in the first four and one-half weeks of the quarter and B-term courses are offered in the second four and one-half weeks of the quarter.
