Who should attend?
This conference is aimed at sharing information with those that work with, support, or simply enjoy technology. Any UW staff, faculty or student who wants to connect with others in the IT community at UW should attend this event.
Can I attend any part of the day?
Yes, you are welcome to attend any portion of the conference you wish.
Will there be recordings/screenshots?
Yes, we will be capturing images by the means available to us. By attending the TechConnect Conference, you consent to be photographed, filmed and/or otherwise recorded unless you notify the event organizers.
University of Washington Information Technology (UW-IT) may use images/photographs/videos in publications or other media material produced, used or contracted by UW-IT including but not limited to: brochures, invitations, books, newspapers, magazines, television, websites, etc. To ensure the privacy of individuals, images will not be identified using full names or personal identifying information without written approval from the photographed subject, parent or legal guardian.
A person attending a TechConnect event who does not wish to have their image recorded for distribution should make their wishes known to the event organizers by sending an email to help@uw.edu with his/her intentions and include a photograph. UW-IT will use the photo for identification purposes.
By participating in a TechConnect event or by failing to notify UW-IT, in writing, of your desire to not have your photograph used by UW-IT, you are agreeing to release, defend, hold harmless and indemnify UW-IT from any and all claims involving the use of your picture or likeness.
Any person or organization not affiliated with UW-IT may not use, copy, alter or modify UW-IT photographs, graphics, videography or other, similar reproductions or recordings without the advance written permission of an authorized designee from UW-IT.
