Sherri Berdine (Aleut & CIRI descendent) joined the University of Washington as the Director of Tribal Relations in May 2022. Sherri is a proud graduate of the UW, where she majored in Sociology and minored in American Indian Studies. She later earned a Master of Jurisprudence in Indian Law from the University of Tulsa College of Law. Through these courses of study, she has learned and deeply internalized how the unique status of Indian tribes and their historical relationship with the federal government affects government programs, responsibilities, and initiatives.

Bryce joined the External Affairs team in November 2024. Prior to the UW, he worked in University Advancement at Western Washington University. He also worked as a legislative intern for the Washington State Senate and as a researcher at the Fair Housing Center of Washington. He is a graduate of Western Washington University with a bachelor’s degree in environmental studies.
