Sean Gehrke, Assistant Dean

Sean Gehrke has held a variety of administrative, research and assessment roles over 20 years in higher education. In UAA, he oversees programs that serve thousands of undergraduates, including programs in research, community engagement and leadership education. Gehrke also leads collaborative research and assessment projects, providing guidance and support to the campus community in evaluating the University’s progress toward its educational goals. This includes providing expertise in assessment and evaluation across UAA and other offices as needed, including the executive office and UW colleges and schools. He is also an affiliate instructor in the College of Education, teaching in the Leadership in Higher Education program.

Michaelann Jundt, Senior Associate Dean

Michaelann Jundt works across campus to evolve programs and improve systems for students of all backgrounds. She has been instrumental in transforming conversations and partnerships dedicated to the advancement of leadership education, transfer student success, and community engagement. Her current UAA portfolio includes supporting advising, first year and academic support programs, merit scholarships, and the resilience lab. Michaelann teaches courses in the Leadership Minor and provides oversight for the General Studies curriculum. She provides service to several University governing bodies including faculty and community engagement councils as well as committees in service of the decennial review process for academic programs. Representing the University, she serves on the Joint Transfer Council, a multi-sector standing committee that works to improve and advance student transfer in Washington state.

Rosa Ramirez, Assistant Dean

Rosa Ramirez is assistant dean of finance and personnel and leads all financial and operational aspects of UAA. Ramirez has dedicated over 20 years to serving higher education, including roles as director of human resources and interim director of finance at UAA. Ramirez’s leadership includes a rich history of strategic partnership experience and change management. Her extensive experience in overseeing finance and budget, human resources and facilities functions is invaluable, and she plays a crucial role in UAA’s operations and governance.
