Business, Academic & Research Continuity (BARC)

Knowing what to do when something goes wrong that could affect the ability to hold classes, provide services or conduct research is the heart of Business, Academic & Research continuity at the University of Washington.

Through the process of continuity planning, your unit can explore the key responsibilities you have, what you rely on to meet those responsibilities and how to plan workarounds.

Plans help prepare departments for a variety of challenges — from building flooding caused by a broken pipe to a cyberattack and challenges we haven’t even thought of yet.
