On June 7, 56 University of Washington undergraduates were initiated into the Alpha Chapter of Phi Beta Kappa. The initiation ceremony began under the Gerberding Hall bell tower in Red Square, followed by a procession to Kane Hall, where the new initiates were formally granted membership. After an initiation address by Professor Victoria Lawson, director of the University’s Honors Program, the chapter’s Executive Board hosted a reception for the initiates, their family members, and guests.
