Huskies light up the world with Purple Pride every year on W Day, our celebration of the University of Washington and all things Husky.
Beginning in 2011 as the University’s 150th anniversary celebration, W Day now lives on as an annual community-wide celebration of school pride.

Beyond the Bothell, Seattle and Tacoma campuses, the party extends around the world, as Huskies everywhere throw on their favorite gear and share their love for the UW. W Day also marks the start of Homecoming weekend. The whole University community comes together for a variety of events and a taste of student life — with on-campus surprises, the Homecoming football game and more.
