Summer Study 2022 - Tuesday, July 19
Phase 1:
Interacting with Faculty: In this session you will be meeting college faculty to practice introducing yourself and articulating your needs to them.
Phase 2:
Accessible Technology Demonstrations and ATC Tour: Assistive Technology (AT) can help with organization and planning, reading and writing, access and recreation. But how do you know what AT to choose? Where do you get it? Who is going to pay for it? Did you know that each state has an Assistive Technology program that can help answer those questions? See what assistive technology and apps college students use and how they use them, and tour the Access Technology Center.
- Experience new assistive technologies that help with access, organization, note taking, writing and composition.
- Learn from past Scholars what it is like to request an accommodation and what you might expect.
Phase 1 and 2:
Phase 2 Project Presentations: Phase 2 Scholars worked on projects that interest them over the past year and are here to share their presentations.
Phase 1 and 2:
Snack Box Social: Meet the Pets! (optional): Phase 1 and Phase 2 Scholars are invited to introduce their pets to the group! Participants will also be encouraged to share pet-related stories and memories. Even those without pets are encouraged to join this optional evening activity!
