Overview of Recent SAGE Updates

The following email was sent to the SAGE and MRAM mailing lists on Friday, July 28.

The SAGE team is working to address high-priority issues and updates to the SAGE Suite. The following list provides an overview of updates released over the past two weeks that impact campus users.

Completed Updates

  • Sponsor Validations Impacting eGC1 Routing: Users are no longer prevented from routing eGC1s when new sponsors are added but not yet associated with the new Funding Entity ID.
  • SAGE Budget Rounding: In SAGE Budget, a rounding issue has been fixed on subaward worksheets with fixed fee or prorated direct costs (PDC) to ensure the intended rounded values are passed to Workday.
  • Duplicate Award Preparer Role Causing eGC1 Access Issues: The duplicate Award Preparer role issue is fixed and the eGC1 access issues resolved for Award Setup Requests.
  • eGC1 Reviewers Unable to View eGC1s: eGC1 reviewers are now able to access the core sections of the eGC1 required for review.
  • eGC1 Approval Routing Issues
    • Primate Center reviewers now able to approve
    • Bothell and Tacoma approval issues resolved
    • Radiation Oncology approval routing rules added to SAGE
  • Items Not Showing in Award Requests List: The expected Award Setup Requests now appear in the Award Requests list for Award Preparers.
  • Incorrect Award Modification Links in Email Notifications: The modification request notification emails now contain the correct link. Notifications received prior to the fix (Friday, 7/21) will still have the incorrect link.

Important Reminders & Fixes Coming Soon

  • Please do not delete any Award Setup Requests that the Office of Sponsored Programs has sent you through the end of next week (Friday, 8/4). Deleting OSP-initiated Award Setup Requests is causing loss of important information. A fix is targeted for next week.
  • Coming Soon: Users will soon be able to update the eGC1 or budget that was erroneously connected to an Award Setup Request in composing, returned, or withdrawn status.
