E. Peter Greenberg honored with the 2023 Canada Gairdner International Award
Three microbiologists who helped pioneer the field of quorum sensing — how bacteria communicate with each other — are being honored with the 2023 Canada Gairdner International Award. E. Peter Greenberg, the inaugural Eugene and Martha Nester Professor of Microbiology at the University of Washington School of Medicine, joins researchers from Princeton University and The Agouron Institute and the Scripps Institution of Oceanography in receiving the award.
