Industry Clinical Trial Pilot & Pre-Clinical Confidentiality Disclosure Agreements

Pre-Clinical Trial Confidentiality Agreement (CDA)
Instructions for submitting a pre-clinical trial CDA have been updated. ALL staff submitting pre-clinical trial CDAs should follow these instructions effective immediately:
- Stop adding an asterisk in the CDA short title field when submitting a Non-Award Agreement eGC1 in SAGE.
- Select “Clinical Trial: Non-Federal Sponsors” for the Sponsored Program Activity Type.

Industry Clinical Trial Agreement Pilot
On 3/24/2025, a two-stage pilot aimed at decreasing industry clinical trial agreement activation begins with ten participating departments & divisions.
Stage 1: Beginning 3/24/2025, Industry Clinical Trial Agreement negotiation for these participating units moves from the Office of Sponsored Programs (OSP) to the UW Clinical Trial Office (CTO).
Stage 2: Beginning 4/21/2025, Clinical Trial Agreements Amendments for the same participating units will be handled by CTO instead of OSP.
The pilot will run for approximately one year. Upon demonstrated success, this process will roll out to the rest of the School of Medicine.
