Saving Lives at Birth Funding Announcement: Deadline March 27, 2014

The U.S. Agency for International Development, the Government of Norway, the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Grand Challenges Canada, and the U.K. Department for International Development has joined together to create Saving Lives at Birth: A Grand Challenge for Development. Launched in March 2011, Saving Lives at Birth aims to uncover groundbreaking tools and approaches that can protect mothers and newborns in the poorest places on earth during their most vulnerable hours.

Today, they are proud to announce that they are now accepting applications to the fourth round of the Saving Lives at Birth Challenge. During this round, innovators are invited to submit bold ideas for scientific and technological advances that prevent, detect or treat maternal and newborn problems prior to conception through the early postnatal period.

To see if you qualify for the Challenge, go to: www.savinglivesatbirth.net/apply. Applications will be accepted through March 27, 2014.
