UW remains at No. 25 in the world, fourth among U.S. public institutions, on Times Higher Education ranking list

For the second consecutive year, the University of Washington has been ranked No. 25 on the Times Higher Education world rankings for 2018, released Tuesday. It is tied with the London School of Economics and Political Science.

The UW is also fourth among U.S. public institutions — behind UCLA, UC Berkeley and University of Michigan — a position it has held for the last two years as well.

“Our University seeks to have the greatest possible impact here in Washington and around the world. This kind of broad-based measure, looking at everything from teaching and research to a university’s international reach, is a great snapshot of the excellence of our faculty, students and staff, as well as the global reach of their work,” UW President Ana Mari Cauce said.
